The B1uan Interview

Subhan returns after another 2 weeks with a very special episode for you listeners. Firstly, it is with great sadness that we must address the passing of another young legend. Chicago artist Juice WRLD has sadly passed away yesterday, leaving behind a short but impactful legacy of music that has helped millions of people cope through their own hardships. This episode is dedicated to his legacy, family , fans and will include some of my favourite Juice WRLD records. RIP 💜.

This episode is also very special because I am joined by up and coming R'n'B legend B1uan !! We first discovered the Alabama native off the release of his debut "Polaroid EP" be sure to bump this epic introduction below: 

He hasn't let off the gas since, releasing fire projects to follow in 2019 with "Level Up" & "Love+Live". B1uan's sound is one that focuses on incredibly immersive songwriting and production that knocks in the whip. Making his music the perfect backdrop for those late nights on road or when you trying to set the vibe w/ that special someone.

B1uan fresh off the release of his latest project "October//Issue 1" took the time to chop it up with me over the phone to give you listeners insight into the man behind the bangers.

We discuss his humble beginnings in Alabama and how his family , specifically his older brother influence his taste in music. He details his cousin Oshea , also another prolific R'n'B artist, pushing him and seeing his success motivate him and establish the notion of self belief within himself to pursue music even further. This lead to the young artist to relocate to Atlanta where he has been able to thrive in an environment of like minded peers.

 B1uan also shares his love for artists such as Childish Gambino & Bryson Tiller and the lasting impact they have had on his approach to music. Brandon (B1uan's real name ) also details his early efforts to tap into his creativity as he was an avid drawer at a young age, this passion has translated into a tangible tool in his locker as he also creates his own graphics and artwork. We also dicuss the cathartic release his music provides, allowing his listeners to relate to the very personal journey he brings them through.
