On this edition I am joined by one of Toronto's rising musical prodigies; Kofi ! The Scarborough native came through to studio chop it up with me & we had a really dope discussion on a wide spectrum of things. Tracks like "Came Up" are melodic and vivid, taking listeners through a journey of the artists progression up until this point. Kofi represent's prodigious talent that is finally starting to get the attention he deserves. His natural music mind paired with his vocal ability, make him an artist . with unparalleled potential. During our discussion he reveals that he was immersed in music theory at a very young age, even training in classical piano & trombone. Being immersed in this musical environment, Kofi details his start in making music was actually producing for the homies and no one really knew he could sing until his debut release. From there we discuss how these humble beginnings have culminated in a very hectic past year for the artist, as he finds himself now primarily in LA navigating both the music industry & his athletic pursuits. He share's his crazy encounters at a Hollywood house party with legendary producers Noah "40" Shebib & Boi-1da and the influence these "gods" of sound have had on his approach.
