Fall is finally in full effect, and Subhan is back with another special episode for you listeners to vibe out to ! 

 

On this episode Bayshore is in the building, as I am joined by one of the city's most talented MCs, the homie Waldo. Fresh off the release of his debut project "Where's Waldo", we sat down and had a really dope conversation on myriad of topics. The project itself is a gritty and rugged display in pure rapping ability. Dizzying flows and banging beats serve as the conduit of the young morrocan's message. His tracks serve as a reflection of the lifestyle and happenings that occur in one of Ottawa's most legendary neighbourhoods. The project serves as a flag in the ground for Waldo, making a clear statement to the rap game that his promising path has just begun. Standout tracks include "Louis V" , "Children", "No Regrets" ft. During our interview we touch on his come up in music, his time away from it that allowed him to refresh his approach and comeback even better. We talk about what it is like growing up in the community of Bayshore, and how this experience being surrounded by so many cultures shaped him as a human and his approach to music. We also talk about his Moroccan heritage, and growing up in a culture that values music, the communal enjoyment of rhythm within this community, and being one of the first Moroccan rappers out of the city. 

 

From there we discuss our mutual love for Kanye & Lil Wayne, our favourite Jordans of all time & the homie blesses us with an incredibly hard freestyle just in case y'all ain't forgot about these bars!!!
